Common Questions
CPA Firm Outsourcing FAQ
What is white-label accounting for CPA firms?
White-label accounting means an outside team prepares bookkeeping, tax returns, or workpapers for a CPA firm under that firm's brand. The firm keeps the client relationship and signs off on the work. NSI CAPITALS works this way: inside your systems, to your standards, with no client contact.
Do our clients need to know you're involved?
Your clients deal only with your firm, and deliverables arrive in your format. IRS rules (Treas. Reg. 301.7216-3) require your firm to get each taxpayer's written consent before disclosing tax return information to a preparer outside the United States, and AICPA ethics rules require you to inform clients before sharing confidential information with a third-party service provider. NSI CAPITALS provides consent wording you can add to your engagement letter.
Who reviews and signs the returns?
Your firm. Review and signature stay with you. We prepare the return and supporting workpapers to your standards and deliver them into your review process.
What protects our client relationships?
Confidentiality and non-solicit terms covering every client file, signed before work begins. We do not approach or contract with your clients.
Can we start with a small number of files?
Yes. Most firms start with a handful of files to confirm standards and handoff, then scale volume from there.
Do we have to commit to volume year-round?
No. Volume flexes with your calendar. It scales up through busy season and steps back afterward, so you don't carry fixed capacity through quiet months.
Do you represent our clients before the IRS?
No. Representation stays with your firm's CPA, EA, or attorney. We prepare the records and draft response packages behind it.
